Greta  Maria Lobefaro - Italy (17)

Greta (16)  started playing piano at the age of five with her parents, both pianists. She graduated in piano at  the Conservatorio di Musica “N. Piccinni” in Bari (Italy) with the maximum points and with honour under the guidance of Prof. Giovanna Valente’s.


She is currently attending the Imola International Piano Accademy where she receives lessons from Prof Roberto Giordano. She won 28  National and International Music and Piano Competitions between 2009 and 2012.  At the age of 10,  she performed  live  on TV and debuted with the orchestra. She was among the 12 selected young pianists from all over the world to attend the Junior Music Camp with Lang Lang in Barcellona in  November 2014, by the Lang Lang Foundation and Allianz.


She received first prize at the  “XXI International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for children and youth”,  SZAFARNIA (2013) and the Steinway Competition (Italy) in 2016.

She was a finalist at the Piano San Marino Competition (2016). In November 2018 she received 3rd prize  at the International Piano competition “Città di Spoleto” (3 rounds up to 33 years old) and the the XXXV Premio Venezia (Competition for the best graduates in Italy -2017).


She performed in many concerts (as a soloist and with orchestras) in Italy, Germany, Austria, Ukraine, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Russia and Romania.  She received masterclasses from Michele Marvulli (from 2012) at the Mozarteum University, Sommerakademie (Salzburg),  Prof. Andreas Weber (2013, 2015), with Maestro Bruno Canino, Roberto Cappello, Francois Joel Thiollier, Benedetto Lupo, Emanuele Arciuli and Prof. Wolfram Schmitt Leonardy.


She recorded her first CD in May 2018.
