Lissy Hermelink - Germany (17)
Lissy Hermelink was born in September 1999 in Munich, Germany. She began piano studies at the age of six. Throughout her high school years, Lissy was a music student at the Musikschule Stuttgart for gifted children.
In June 2016, at the age of 16, she graduated from Eberhard-Ludwigs High School of Music in Stuttgart with a high school diploma. Starting in October 2016, she began studying piano performance at Hochschule of Musik and Theater in Munich, since October 2017 Lissy is studying at University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim with professor Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy.
Lissy is a laureate of many important international pianist competitions. She won first prizes at a Schumann Competition in Zwickau, at a International Rotary Competition in Essen, at a Steinway Competition in Hamburg and at the International Munich Piano Podium. In 2013, she was chosen to be a Musical Ambassador of the International Lang Lang Music Foundation New York of the famous pianist Lang Lang.
In June 2015 she received a scholarship of the Werner Haas Forum and gave a recital in the main Stuttgart Music Hall (Liederhalle). In April 2017, Lissy won first prize at the International Competition "Golden Era of Romantic Music 2017" a part of the American Fine Arts Festival. Lissy performs across the globe, among others at Weil Recital Hall (Carnegie Hall New York) as well as at the Theater Sanchez Aguilar in Guayaquil, Ecuador. In 2020, Lissy plans to complete her bachelor studies in Mannheim with professor Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy and afterwards intends to complete her master’s degree abroad.
Lissy’s dream is to play many concerts all over the world and to support charitable projects with them, focusing especially on animal welfare and preservation of our planet.
